Digital Health Consulting Partners With New Jersey Health Information Technology Extension Center
Digital Health Consulting LLC will help area New Jersey providers achieve meaningful use of EHRs, improve business operations
Newark, NJ September 22, 2010 — Digital Health Consulting LLC, a provider of consulting services for health care applications and electronic health records (EHR) for the healthcare industry, today announced a partnership with New Jersey Health Information Technology Extension Center (NJ-HITEC). Under the terms of the agreement, Digital Health Consulting LLC will act as a health IT consultant and collaborate with NJ-HITEC in its efforts to promote meaningful use of EHRs among New Jersey-based providers.
Organized by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONCHIT), NJ-HITEC has been established to provide technical assistance, guidance, resources and information to accelerate provider adoption and support the meaningful use of EHRs. Digital Health Consulting LLC under the direction of NJ-HITEC will work to assist the state’s providers in their use of health information technology through targeted outreach, one-on-one consultation and user support.
“Digital Health Consulting LLC brings many years of health care expertise to help physicians enhance care delivery, improve patient outcomes and achieve meaningful use by providing support and strategic direction as these individuals prepare for, select and ultimately implement EHRs,” said Bill O’Byrne, executive director, NJ-HITEC. “We are committed to providing assistance to our state’s primary care providers serving at-risk populations in a cost-effective manner so that they can further their adoption of health information technology.”
As part of the partnership Digital Health Consulting LLC will provide the following services:
- Support to help practices understand how to deploy technology in a way that complies with meaningful use standards; and
- Join in clinical and administrative workflow examination to ensure each organization leverages the technology to its full potential.
NJ-HITEC and its partners like Digital Health Consulting will work with an estimated 5,000 priority primary care providers in New Jersey to meet meaningful use standards within the next two years.
